Amanda Celesta Whinery

Amanda Celesta Whinery, age 70, of Oxford, OH passed away on Sunday, August 30, 2026 at the Greenbriar Nursing Center in Eaton, OH. She was born February 8, 1956 in Salem, OH to the late Eldon and Marjorie (Fultz) Whinery.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her sisters JoAnn Whinery and Linda Taylor; and brother Ray (Josephine) Whinery.

She is survived by her wife of 37 years, Kristen L. Jacobson of Oxford; son John Whinery of Oxford; sister Cheryl (Van) Barber of Albuquerque, NM; brother Carl (Marsha) Whinery of Salem, OH; and several nieces and nephews.
