Amber K. Smith-Miller

Amber K. Smith-Miller, age 25, of Dayton OH and formerly of Eaton, OH passed away at her home on November 1, 2020.  She was born on November 14, 1994 at Mt. Sinai Hospital in Cleveland, OH.  She moved to Eaton in 1999 where she attended Eaton City Schools and participated in several extracurricular activities.  Amber is survived by her four brothers: Leon, Kirtis, Delmar and Deon; her sisters Lydia and twin sister Ashley; her three children: Joshua Smith, Ericka and Julianna Humphries; several nieces and nephews; her longtime best friend Jessica; biological parents: Doris Miller and Delmar Burkes; and her biological grandmother Betty Bourden and spouse Issac Smith. She was preceded in death by her brother Isaiah Smith; sister Raven Smith; and biological grandfather Will F. Bourden.  Amber was someone who loved with everything she had. Despite all of the obstacles thrown her way, she always seemed to do what she needed to come out on top. She was feisty, resilient and full of passion. Her dream was to always be the very best mom she could be; her kids were her whole world. She always did what she thought felt was best for her children no matter the cost to herself.  Amber will be remembered for her commitment to those she loved, her overall warmth, laughter and perseverance.  A visitation will be held on Monday, November 9, 2020 from 12:00 to 1:30 pm at the Girton Schmidt & Boucher Gard Funeral Home, 226 West Main Street, Eaton. A private funeral service and burial at Preble Memory Gardens in West Alexandria will take place at the convenience of the family.  Memorial contributions may be sent to the funeral home to assist with final expenses.  Online condolences and other remembrances may be sent to the family by visiting www.gsbfuneralhome.com.

I did not know Amber, but I do know Ashley. If Amber was anything like her twin, I know she was a wonderful, loving light in this world. Her memory will live on in all the lives of those she touched. Thinking of you with such care and support at this difficult time. Love, Michele Thomas
