Anna Wagner Kramer

October 3, 1926 — October 5, 2018

Anna Wagner Kramer, age 92, of Eaton, Ohio, went to be with the Lord on October 5, 2018 at Reid Hospital in Richmond, Indiana. She was born October 3, 1926 in Preble County, Ohio to the late Joe and Gertrude (Wysong) Wagner. Anna was an active member of the Eaton Church of the Brethren. She went back to college after raising children and became a beloved librarian in the Resource Center at Eaton Schools, in addition to helping her husband many years in his excavating, farming, custom combining and machine shop businesses. Anna was an extraordinary baritone player, a very knowledgeable musician with a wide range of interests from Christian music to barbershop harmony to symphony, and was always encouraging friends and family in the appreciation and making of music. She was eager to learn about, love, compliment and help almost everyone she met, even helping do laundry for others up to the very week she passed away. In addition to her parents, she was also preceded in death by her husband Ivan Edward Kramer in 2010; daughter, Rebecca "Beccy" in 2017; and grandsons, Matthew Homer Kramer in 1977 and David Edward Kramer in 2008. She is survived by her children & spouses, Doug & Naomi Kramer of Eaton, Ohio, Joe & Sharon Kramer of Eaton, Ohio; former son-in-law Dan Norman of Altamont, Tennessee; grandchildren & spouses, Brad & Amy Kramer of Eaton, Ohio, Christian & Coleen Kramer of Noblesville, Indiana, Jason & Christie Kramer of Moberly, Missouri, Natalie Kramer-Kopf of Germantown, Ohio, Andrew & Jennafer "Jenna" Kramer of Eaton, Ohio, Aaron & Sheila Elstro of Independence, Kentucky, Brian Elstro of Richmond, Indiana, “steps” Larry Miller of Lewisburg, Ohio, Doug & Trisha Miller of Richmond, Indiana, Steve Fennig of Redkey, Indiana, Sharon Hiatt of Portland, Indiana, Jewel Hardymon of Portland, Indiana, Mark Fennig of Union City, Indiana, and David Fennig of Decatur, Indiana; and numerous special great-grandchildren, nephews, nieces, cousins, and many friends. Anna, always the organizer, has been looking forward to and planning this day for maybe two years. She even has gone over some songs she would like; what format she wants us to follow (mostly short and sweet). She asked that we honor her by keeping it joyous, not too much about her (that will be tough), and celebrating her happiness in being in that wonderful place for which she has been preparing. What a great example! She wanted most to be with her Savior and Father, and many loved ones there waiting for her. I'm sure she will be scheduling a duet with Dad right away. We didn't make many promises on that "short" requirement, but did on that "joyous" part. Joe and Doug invite all to join in. Visitation will be held on Tuesday, October 9, 2018 from 11:00 am until time of funeral services at 1:00 pm at the Eaton Church of the Brethren, 813 Camden Road, Eaton, Ohio 45320, with Pastor Dan Denlinger and Pastor Greg Hyre officiating. Burial will follow at Mound Hill Cemetery in Eaton. Girton Schmidt & Boucher Gard Funeral Home, Eaton is assisting with arrangements. Memorial Contributions may be made to Eaton Church of the Brethren, 813 Camden Road, Eaton, Ohio 45320. Online condolences may be sent to the family by visiting www.gsbfuneralhome.com.
