Anthoney W. Cadwalleder

Anthoney W. Cadwalleder (aka Toney Jones), age 60, of Dayton, OH and formerly Preble County, passed away on Tuesday, July 12, 2022 at Hospice of Hamilton.  He was born December 20, 1961 in Cincinnati, OH.  Toney was an advocate for all, especially the underdog. He provided direct care for two decades at Montgomery Developmental Center.  He also shared his love of food with family and friends, often showing up at gatherings with dishes that were above and beyond anything else there. An avid traveler, Toney spent many summers heading to the beach or "glamp"ing in his motorhome that he refinished himself. During his favorite time of year, he loved being Santa for the kids at Whispering Christmas. He was a dedicated uncle, loyal son, vivacious brother, loving husband, and steadfast friend.  He was preceded in death by his brothers Timothy, Jamie, Thomas, Joseph and Mark Jones; and brother-in-law Paul Mullinix. Toney was the son of Lewis (Margaret) Jones and Joann (Bev Brubaker) Campbell Jones. He is also survived by his siblings: Kimberly Tufts, Tamara Mullinix, Jennifer (Elisa Malin) Jones, Julie (Paul) Ossmann, Jessica Jones and Jacqueline (Brian) Wright; sister-in-law Connie Jones; numerous nieces and nephews; husband Cliff Schrock; and numerous friends.  Visitation will be held on Wednesday, July 20, 2022 from 12:00 noon until time of funeral service at 1:00 pm at Gard Funeral Home, 226 West Main Street, Eaton, OH with Pastor Gerald Sadai officiating.  Burial will follow at Mound Hill Cemetery in Eaton.  Memorial contributions may be made out to "City of Eaton Whispering Christmas", then mailed to The City of Eaton, 328 N. Maple Street P.O. Box 27, Eaton, OH 45320.  Online condolences and other remembrances may be sent by visiting www.gardfuneralhome.com

I am glad that Toney got to be part of the Dayton Gay Men's Chorus for a little while. It sounds like he did many wonderful things in his life. So glad I made it out to the country for the party last year. Sending much love to all of you at this time of loss.
