Arthur Lee Campbell, Jr.

Arthur Lee Campbell, Jr., age 93, of Eaton, OH passed away Saturday, April 8, 2017 at the Greenbriar Nursing Center in Eaton. He was born September 24, 1923 in Camden, OH to the late Arthur Lee and Norma Jane (Gift) Campbell, Sr. He was a 1941 graduate of Eaton High School; was a U.S. Navy Veteran who served during WWII; was a member of St. Paul United Methodist Church, Eaton; member and Past Master of the Bolivar Masonic Lodge #82, Eaton; Past High Priest of the Eaton Chapter; Most Excellent Master of Preble Council #135; was a past Lt. Highway Patrol Auxiliary Member; former Mayor of Eaton (last elected); and past Commander of the V.F.W. Post #8066, Eaton. In addition to his parents he was also preceded in death by his wife Dorothea “Dottie” Campbell who passed away in 2011; and brother Frederick Campbell. He is survived by his son A. Lee (Evelyn) Campbell, III of Harrison, OH; granddaughter Tracy (Sam) Combs of Morrow, OH; grandson Brad (Linda) Campbell of Pinson, AL; grandson Aaron Campbell of Harrison, OH; granddaughter Anna (Ben) Crouch of Indianapolis, IN; great grandchildren Danielle (Jon) Wallace of Morrow, OH and Toney Combs of Indianapolis, IN; great great grandson William Wallace; sister Eleanor Silvers of Eaton, OH; brother William Campbell of Eaton, OH; and numerous nieces and nephews. Visitation will be held on Tuesday, April 11, 2017 from 10:00 am until time of masonic and funeral services at 11:00 am at the Girton Schmidt & Boucher Gard Funeral Home, 226 West Main Street, Eaton, OH with Pastor Chris Farmer officiating. Burial will follow at College Corner Cemetery, College Corner, IN. Memorial contributions may be sent to the Eaton United Methodist Church, 120 North Maple Street, Eaton, OH 45320. Our condolences to the family of Uncle Lee. To Lee the 3rd and Brad, Tracy, and Evelyn. Our sadness yesterday on hearing of the passing of Uncle Lee. We wish we could be there to share the good memories we have of Uncle Lee and Aunt Dot. Know that you are in our hearts today and that Uncle Lee and Aunt Dot are together again in peace and good health. We miss you all and wish only the best to all. To Eleanor and her family we wish the same. Know that God has a time and a place for all of His children. Go through today knowing that you are all loved..
