Audrey E. Spencer

Audrey E. Spencer, age 65 of Arcanum, OH, passed away on Sunday, July 24, 2022 in Darke County, OH.  She was born October 21, 1956 in Waukegan, Illinois to the late Charles Preston, Sr. and Gladys (Middleton) Preston.  Audrey graduated from Eaton High School in 1975.  She married her late husband Bruce Evans in 1978.  They enjoyed 30 years of marriage and had three children and 8 grandchildren.  Audrey was a follower of Christ.  She was a loving and devoted wife, mother, grandmother, and sister.  She enjoyed reading books, visiting with family, writing and anything to do with cats.  She will be greatly missed by family and friends. She was preceded in death by her parents; first husband Bruce Evans; second husband Charles Spencer; brother Charles Preston Jr.; and sister Charla Winter.  She is survived by her children; Steven Evans, Alan (Amanda) Evans, and Amy (Erik) Kazee; brothers Brian (Peggy) Preston and Jeff Preston; brother-in-law Jonathan Winter; sister-in-law Carol Preston; grandchildren Ellycia, Taylor, Ezekiel, Abrianna, Gabrielle, Nathan, Ashton, Alek; and several nieces, nephews and in-laws.  A graveside service will be held at 11:00 am on Friday, August 19, 2022 at Preble Memory Gardens Cemetery, 3377 US Route 35 East, West Alexandria, OH.  Gard Funeral Home and Cremation Services, Eaton, OH is assisting with arrangements.  Online condolences and other remembrances may be sent by visiting www.gardfuneralhome.com.
