Barbara Ann Bambeck, age 74, of Springboro, Ohio, formerly of West Alexandria, Ohio passed away on Friday, July 2, 2026. She was born January 26, 1952 in Dayton, Ohio to the late Arthur and Helen (Metzger) Brubaker.
Barbara's greatest joy in life was her family. She treasured every opportunity to spend time with her husband, children and grandchildren, creating a home where everyone felt welcomed, loved, and cared for. Whether hosting holiday gatherings, family dinners, birthdays, or special celebrations, Barbara had a remarkable gift for bringing people together and making every occasion memorable. She was the heart behind countless family traditions and believed that life's happiest moments were those shared with the people she loved most.
Barbara also found great fulfillment in researching genealogy and preserving her family's history. She enjoyed discovering stories of pastgenerations and took pride in sharing that knowledge with her loved ones, helping keep family traditions and heritage alive. Her creativity was equally evident in her love of crafting, decorating and gardening. She had a special talent for creating beautiful, welcoming spaces both inside and outside her home, reflecting the warmth and care she extended to everyone around her.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her brothers David Brubaker, Martin (Ruth) Brubaker and Wesley Brubaker; and sister Louise Beachler.
She is survived by her husband of 40 years, Andrew C. Bambeck, III of Springboro; children Charissa A. (Jeffrey) Simmons of Cincinnati, Ohio, Jennifer E. (David) Eby of Springboro, Ohio, Elizabeth F. (Bryce) Jackson of Beavercreek, Ohio and A. Conrad Bambeck IV of Chicago, Illinois; grandchildren Erik, Lance, Dylan, Kayla, Eliyah and Shiloh; brothers and sisters, Paul (Wilma) Brubaker, Ellen Brubaker, James (Norma) Brubaker, Thomas (Laura) Brubaker and Catharine (Stuart) Cook; sisters-in-law Vera (David) Brubaker and Carolyn (Wesley) Brubaker; and many nieces and nephews.
A Celebration of Life OPEN HOUSE will be held at Eaton Community Church (813 Camden Road Eaton, Ohio) on Saturday, July 25, 2026 from 2 - 5 pm. Gard Funeral Home, West Alexandria, Ohio is assisting with arrangements. Memorial contributions may be sent to Eaton Community Church (Eaton communitychurch.org/give) or Samaritan’s Purse (samaritanspurse.org) in lieu of flowers.
