Barbara Ann Goebel

Barbara Ann Goebel, age 92, of Eaton, OH passed away on Thursday, April 2, 2026 at Maple Gardens Nursing and Rehab Center in Eaton. She was born April 2, 1934 in Toledo, OH to the late Emery and Pearl Miller.

Barbara owned and operated the Topery Dress Shop in Toledo, OH and later with her husband Chuck, owned and operated the Traveler’s Inn Restaurant in Port Clinton, OH for many years. She also was an active member of the Grace Lutheran Church in Eaton.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband Brownell W. “Chuck” Goebel; son Charles “Craig” Goebel; sister Patricia Balmer; and son-in-law James Koeller.

She is survived by her daughter Cheryl Koeller; sons Michael (Debbie) Goebel and Gerald "Pete" Goebel; grandchildren Lara Mahler, Matt Kropelin, Josh Kropelin (Cheyane), Michael (Susan) Goebel, Jennifer (Will) Estep, Michelle Kupay, Jeremy Goebel, and Chrystal Goebel; numerous great grandchildren and great great grandchildren; and niece Kim Balmer.

Friends will be received from 10:00 am until time of memorial services at 11:00 am on Thursday, April 9, 2026 at Grace Lutheran Church, 111 Lutheran Drive, Eaton, with Pastor Dwight Hanson officiating. A private interment will be held at the convenience of the family in Sylvania. Gard Funeral Home & Cremation Services, Eaton, OH is assisting with arrangements.
