Barbara Ellen Roberts

Barbara Ellen Roberts, age 71, of Somerville, OH passed away on Sunday, May 11, 2025 at Kettering Health Hamilton. She was born August 29, 1953 in Middletown, OH to the late Walter and Lois (Thompson) Schneider. She dearly loved spending time with her family; was a member of the West Elkton Fire Department Women’s Auxiliary; she enjoyed cooking and baking; watching her hummingbirds; she loved Christmas time and collecting Santa Clauses; and watching soap operas. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her sisters Thelma Mann, Lois Jean Schneider and Brenda Kay Schneider; brothers-in-law Donald Crowley and Paul Lovejoy; sister-in-law Paulette Schneider; and nephew Charlie Crowley. She is survived by her husband of almost 53 years, Michael Roberts; son Mike Roberts Jr (fiancé Julie Jewell) of Eaton; daughter Teri Roberts of West Elkton; son Henry (Bethany) Roberts of Eaton; grandchildren Brandon (Abby) Roberts, Jeffrey (Lessly) Roberts, Daniel Roberts, Abby Roberts, Kendall Roberts and Madelyn Roberts; great grandchildren Korbyn Roberts, Waylon Roberts, Cohen Roberts, Gabe Roberts, Preston Johnson and Cooper Johnson; sisters Connie Lovejoy and Sally Crowley both of West Elkton; brothers Walter Schneider Jr of Hamilton and Jim (Debbie) Schneider of Gratis; and numerous nieces and nephews. Visitation will be held on Thursday, May 15, 2025, from 10:00 am until time of funeral service at 12:00 noon at Gard Funeral Home, 226 West Main Street, Eaton, OH with Pastor Doug Roberts officiating. Burial will follow at Fairmound Cemetery in West Elkton. Memorial contributions may be made to Gasper Township Fire Department and EMS or Camden/Somers Township Fire Department and EMS.
