Betty M. Shurte

Betty M. Shurte, age 80, of Eaton, OH passed away Friday, December 18, 2020 at Hospice of Dayton.  She was born May 30, 1940 in Bybee, KY to the late Louis and Hallie Conner.  Betty worked as a cafeteria worker at various Nursing Homes in the area.  In addition to her parents, she was also preceded in death by her husband Harry Shurte; daughters Sue Goodwin and Kathy Miller; grandson Jonathan Ray Goodwin; brother John Conner; and sister Nellie Stanton.  She is survived by her son Billy Mays of Richmond, IN; grandchildren: Ricky Gibbs, Crystal Mays, Daniel Gibbs, Terry Gibbs, Brandon Hall, Brian Hall, Harold Goodwin, Samantha Goodwin and Donald Goodwin; and 11 great grandchildren.  Visitation will be held on Tuesday, December 22, 2020 from 5:00 to 8:00 pm at the Girton Schmidt & Boucher Gard Funeral Home, 226 W.
