Bob J. Belcher, age 86, of Eaton, OH, passed away Thursday, February 23, 2012. He was born July 16, 1925 in Middletown, OH to the late Stokley and Etter (Bowlin) Belcher. Bob was a U.S. Army Veteran who served during WWII; he retired with 46 years of employment from Inland Container, Middletown, OH; he was converted and a member of the Visitation Catholic Church, Eaton, OH for over 10 years, where he also served as a usher; and he was an avid fisherman and always had a great sense of humor. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his sister Wilma Belcher. He is survived by his wife of 46 years, Shirley (Hageman) Belcher of Eaton, OH; son David (Tina) Belcher of Middletown, OH; daughter Penny (Bill) England of Longview, TX; son Steven Campbell of Eaton, OH; daughter Colette (Dean) Osborne of Middletown, OH; several grandchildren and great grandchildren; sisters Connie (Gene) Ashley and Geraldine Langworthy both of Middletown, OH; and a niece and nephew. Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 3:00 P.M. on Tuesday, February 28, 2012 at the Visitation Catholic Church, 407 East Main Street, Eaton, OH with Father J. Thomas Fitzsimmons officiating. Burial will be in Mound Hill Cemetery, Eaton, OH. Friends will be received from 1:00 to 2:30 P.M., on Tuesday, February 28th at the Girton Schmidt & Boucher Gard Funeral Home, 226 West Main Street, Eaton, OH. Memorial contributions may be made to Visitation Catholic Church.
