Carrie A. Coning

Carrie A. Coning, age 84, of Eldorado, OH passed away on Thursday, June 4, 2026 at the Kettering Medical Center in Kettering, OH. She was born May 21, 1942 in New Madison, OH to the late Hiram and Elma Mae (Shewman) Mogle.

Carrie enjoyed growing flowers and gardening; and was an excellent cook, especially known for her noodles and angel food cake.

In addition to her parents, she was also preceded in death by her brother and sister-in-law Raymond and Theresia Mogle; and sisters Alice Miles and Lois Braund.

She is survived by her husband of 66 years, Philip Coning Sr; children Mary Ann Coning, Phyllis (Scott) Roberts, Philip Coning Jr and David (Betsy) Coning; grandchildren Erin (Jacob) Kovach, Shawn Bright and Savanna (Brandon) Coning; great grandchildren Josiah Coning and Ally West; sister Dora Spotts; and several nieces and nephews.

Visitation will be held on Wednesday June 10, 2026 from 10:00 am until time of funeral service at 12:00 noon at the Gard Funeral Home, 226 W. Main Street, Eaton, OH with Pastor Lance Moyer officiating. Burial will follow at Monroe Cemetery in Eldorado, OH.
