Cecil R. Reese

Cecil R. Reese, age 85, of Eaton, OH passed away on Wednesday, March 8, 2023 at Maple Gardens Nursing Center in Eaton.  He was born March 2, 1938 in Delaware County, IN to the late Oval and Martha Reese.  Cecil was a U.S. Air Force Veteran; worked as a maintenance mechanic at Baxter Company for 23 years and later retired from Henny Penny Corporation.  He was very handy and could make anything.  Cecil was a devoted husband, father and great grandfather and devoted Christian and member of the First Church of the Nazarene, Eaton, OH.  In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his son Daniel M. Reese, brother and sister-in-law Carlos and Shirley Reese; and sister and brother-in-law Geraldine and William “Bill” Ramey.  He is survived by his wife Virginia “Ginger” Reese of Eaton; son Justin Reese of Baton Rouge, LA; granddaughters Keshia (Jeremy) Heaton, Krystal (Trevor) Parrish, Charissa Reese, Colleen Reese and Cayla Reese; 5 great grandchildren: brothers Wilbur (Dellaray) Reese and Gerald (Carolyn) Reese; and numerous nieces and nephews.  Family and friends will be received on Thursday, March 16, 2023 from 5:00 pm until time of memorial service at 7:00 pm at the First Church of the Nazarene, 201 East Lexington Road, Eaton, OH with Pastor Jim High officiating.  A private burial will be held at Dayton National Cemetery at the convenience of the family.
