Claude Grissom

Claude Grissom, Jr, age 90, of Eaton, OH passed away on Sunday, August 23, 2026. He was born November 20, 1935 in West Frankfort, IL to the late Claude and Agnes (Thomas) Grissom, Sr.

Claude enjoyed country music and loved baseball, his favorite team being the St. Louis Cardinals. He was also an avid fan of old Western movies. He was a devout Christian and attended the Eaton Baptist Temple with his wife, Linda.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by two sons Scott Grissom and Doug Grissom; daughter Laurie Witzke; his brother Earl Grissom; and sisters Helen Evitts and Betty McGregor.

He is survived by his wife of 35 years, Linda Grissom; two daughters Deanna Davies and Stacey Rau; stepson David Tanis; 9 grandchildren; and 10 great grandchildren.

Visitation will be held on Saturday, August 29, 2026 from 10:30 am until the time of the funeral service at 12:00 pm at the Eaton Baptist Temple, 416 E. Decatur St. Eaton, OH 45320, with Pastor Ryan Blair officiating. Burial will follow at Mound Hill Cemetery in Eaton. Memorial contributions may be made to the Eaton Baptist Temple.
