Dale M. McWhinney

Dale M. McWhinney, age 80, of Eaton, OH passed away on Wednesday, July 28, 2021 at Greenville Hospital.  He was born April 14, 1941 in Eaton to the late Paul and Hilda (Somers) McWhinney.  Dale was a farmer in Preble County and raised corn, soybeans, wheat, sunflowers and sorghum.  He also raised cattle, horses, chinchillas and registered Poland China Hogs along with other breeds.  He once raised a world record selling Hampshire Boar. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his sister, Norma Jane Paxton.  He is survived by his wife of 50 years, Sharon McWhinney of Eaton, OH; sons Chris McWhinney of Englewood, OH and Jamie McWhinney of Richmond, IN; daughter DaShayne Wadsworth of Westerville, OH; 6 grandchildren and 9 great grandchildren.  Private services will be held at the convenience of the family.  Girton Schimdt & Boucher Gard Funeral Home, Eaton, OH is assisting with arrangements.
