I had the most blessed childhood anyone could hope for with Darrel and Dottie as next door neighbors. I have so many fond memories from that time. I remember how sad I was when Darrel left for the military, and how happy I was when he returned. We spent endless hours playing ball in the yard, and even more time playing in the woods across from our houses. Darrel was one of the most gentle souls I have ever known, and I couldn't have asked for a better childhood friend. I got to spend a few hours with Darrel several years ago before my parents sold their farm in Camden, I was so good to see him (and Debbie). We even went down to the VFW that night to hear music from some old friends. The world is a little darker without Darrel in it. I miss him. Rest in peace my oldest friend...and keep heaven's door open until we can all join you when our times come to an end. Terry (and Cheryl) Wright

I remember one visit back to Ohio, I went to see Harold, then I came to see Debbie and you...you gave me a ride on your motor-cycle...that was so much fun!!! You have been such a hero for my dear cousin, Debbie, wonderful father to Alana, and proud grand father to Justin...I know we will bet again, so I won't say good bye, I'll just say, "See you later"...Joy and Ernie
