Donald E. Flory

Donald E. Flory, age 86, of Eaton, OH, passed away Saturday, September 4, 2021, at Reid Hospital in Richmond, IN.  He was born May 11, 1935 in Eaton, OH, to the late Gene and Louise (Toney) Flory.  He was a 1953 graduate of Eaton High School; was a U.S. Navy Veteran; and he worked at the Eaton Post Office for 30 years.  He enjoyed gardening, farming with John Deere tractors; and collecting antiques.  Don enjoyed life as a jokester with his quick wit.  In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his brother, Toney Flory.  He is survived by his wife of 52 years, Dottie Flory of Eaton; daughter Tanya (fiancé Doug) Henning of Eaton; daughter Tamera (Patrick) Jones of Camden; son Thomas (Griselda) Flory of West Manchester; son Rodney (KeLinda) Flory of Dublin; son Randall Flory of Eaton; 13 grandchildren; 6 great grandchildren; brother James (Becky) Flory of West Alexandria; cousins Kay Frey and Gail Toney; sister-in-law Jane Myers; and several nieces and nephews.  Visitation will be held on Thursday, September 9, 2021 from 12:00 to 1:00 pm at the Girton Schmidt & Boucher Gard Funeral Home, 22 6 W. Main St., Eaton, OH.  A graveside service will follow on Thursday at 1:30 pm at Mound Hill Cemetery (new section) in Eaton with Rev.
