Everett W. Blankenship

Everett W. Blankenship, age 87, of West Alexandria, OH passed away on Friday, May 29, 2026 at his home. He was born March 15, 1939 in Brookville, OH to the late John William and Edna Mae (Shafer) Blankenship.

Everett was a 1957 graduate of West Alexandria High School where he enjoyed being a member of the FFA and FFA Alumni. He worked as a plumber by trade and a farmer by heart. He was a member of the United Methodist Church. In later years, he attended the United Church of Christ in Campbellstown, OH. He dearly loved being with his grandchildren and great grandchildren, gracious with his time in helping those in need.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his brother and sister-in-law Melvin and Margaret Blankenship and their son Edgar W. Blankenship; and his sister and brother-in-law Rosanna and Dwight Chambers.

He is survived by his wife of 67 years, Connie (Fox) Blankenship; sister Rebecca “Becky” (Dale) Williamson; children Michael (Kelly) Blankenship, Tammi (Stuart) Merkamp, Terry (Rhonda) Blankenship, Larry Blankenship and Melissa (Donnie) Lutz; and numerous grandchildren, great grandchildren, nephews and nieces.

Visitation will be held on Tuesday, June 2, 2026 from 10:00 am until time of funeral service at 12:00 noon at the Gard Funeral Home, 226 West Main Street, Eaton, OH with Pastor Larry Ganger officiating.
