Flora Long

Flora Long, age 91, of Middletown and formerly of Gratis passed away Friday, February 26, 2021 at the Hillspring of Springboro Health Care Center.  She was born April 26, 1929 in Salyersville, KY to the late Ishmal and Zula Montgomery.  She attended Beechwood Church of God.  In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by husband Jerry W. Long; brother Johnny Montgomery; and sons-in-law Robert Haley and Gary Gross.  She is survived by her son James (Sharon) Adkins of Somerville; daughters Judy Gross of Franklin, Joyce Haley of Middletown, Janet (James) Bales of Middletown and Jackie (Dave) Appleman of Wilmington; brother Eddie (Carol) Montgomery of Waverly, OH; 12 grandchildren, 29 great grandchildren, 14 great great grandchildren and 1 great great great grandchild.  A graveside service will be held at 3:00 pm on Monday, March 1, 2021 at Fairmound Cemetery in West Elkton, OH with Pastor Gary Agee officiating.  Lindloff-Zimmerman Funeral Home, Gratis is assisting with arrangements.  Memorial contributions may be sent to Beechwood Church of God.  Online condolences may be sent to the family by visiting www.lindloff-zimmerman.com.
