Geneva M. Lee McRoberts

Geneva M. Lee McRoberts, age 94, of West Manchester, OH passed away on Wednesday, July 15, 2026. She was born July 22, 1931 in Richmond, IN to the late Henry and Mary (Emrick) Poffenberger.

Geneva graduated from Monroe High School where she was a cheerleader. She worked as seamstress at Knollenbergs Department Store and also at Armstrong's Formal Wear both in Richmond, IN. She grew up attending Prices Creek Church of the Brethren where she played the piano and organ; and later was a member of Wares Chapel United Methodist Church in West Manchester. She was an avid quilter and enjoyed painting; gardening; and was a good cook. Throughout her life, she was a loving caregiver to many family members.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her first husband Max Lee in 1997; second husband Roy McRoberts in 2009; sisters-in-law Velma Taylor and Vera McRoberts; and older infant brother Poffenberger.

She is survived by her sons Mike (Kay) Lee of Kent, OH, Lloyd (Loretta) Lee of Eldorado, OH and David (Tonya) Lee of Eldorado, OH; grandchildren Jeremy Lee, Andy (Amanda) Lee, Matthew (Sonia) Lee, Amanda (Dominic) Surace, Brandon Lee (fiancé Whitney Gilmer), Travis (Holly) Lee, Dustin (Kara) Lee, Jason (Abby) Lee, Nicole (Charles) Byrd and Marisa (Austin) Schaar; great-grandchildren Kaytlin (Gabe), Hannah (Morgan), Kendall, Paige, Austin, Braydan, Ryan, Micayla, Rebecca, Cab, Dalton, Gabrielle, Nora, Avery, Carenna, Julianna, Myla-Rose, Alex, Gwen, Jordan, Emmett, Rayna and Meredith; and great great grandchildren Jiraiya, Charlotte and Roary; stepchildren Rose Ann Pedroza and Terry McRoberts; step grandchildren Michelle (Keith), Monica (Doug) and Marcus (Katlyn); step great grandchildren Hayden, Austin, Carson, Tyler, Connor, Reilli and Emery.

Visitation will be held on Saturday, July 18, 2026 from 10:00 am until time of funeral service at 12:00 noon at the Gard Funeral Home, 226 W. Main Street, Eaton, OH with Pastor Lance Moyer officiating. Burial will follow at Wares Chapel Cemetery in West Manchester, OH. Memorial contributions may be made to Wares Chapel United Methodist Church or Preble County Council on Aging (Meals on Wheels).
