George R. Alcorn

George R. Alcorn, age 81, of College Corner, OH, passed away on Sunday, April 30, 2023 at McCullough-Hyde Hospital in Oxford, OH.  He was born September 26, 1941 in Estill County, KY to the late Wade and Nannie Alcorn. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his wife Wanda Alcorn; son Darryl Alcorn; grandson, Phillip Alcorn; sisters Della Ditty, Delma Salyers, Ina Humphrey, and Dafon Hymer; and brothers Manuel Alcorn, Arlie Alcorn Sr. and Herbert Alcorn. He is survived by his son Michael (Tracy) Alcorn of Oxford, OH; daughter Lisa (Chris) Frazier of Dayton, OH; daughter-in-law Mindy Alcorn of Eaton, OH; grandchildren, Danni, Wade (Elizabeth), Ciara, Wayne, Michael Jr., Julia, Amanda, and Bradley; great grandchildren, Mikayla, Jaxon, Annabelle, Clayton, Vivian, Ellie, and Carly; brother Austin (Eleanor) Alcorn; and numerous nieces and nephews. Visitation will be held on Friday, May 5, 2023 from 11:00 am until time of funeral service at 12:00 noon at Gard Funeral Home, 226 West Main Street, Eaton, OH with Pastor Tim Tice officiating.
