Glen A. Sheley, age 90, of Eaton, OH passed away on Saturday, April 20, 2024 at his residence. He was born October 10, 1933 in Middletown, OH to the late Henry B. and Ilda Mae (Slough) Sheley. Glen graduated from West Elkton High School and earned his Bachelor’s Degree in Agriculture Engineering in 1961 from The Ohio State University; he was a U.S. Army Veteran and member of the American Legion Post #215 in Eaton; he retired from Hills Roses Inc. in Richmond, IN; was a member of the Concord Church, serving as a Trustee and a Deacon; and enjoyed watching Ohio State Football and Basketball. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his son Scott A. Sheley in 1988; and brother Gene Sheley. He is survived by is wife of 61 years, Betty Sheley of Eaton, whom he married on November 24, 1962; son Steven (Tiffany) Sheley of Eaton; grandchildren Levi (Rose) Sheley of Eaton, Maci (Paul) Woodard of Germantown, Trey Jackson of Eaton, and Harley Jackson of Middletown; great grandchildren Kolton Sheley of Eaton, Zadyn Woodard of Germantown, Camdyn Woodard of Germantown, Ryley Woodard of Miamisburg and Luna Gustin of Middletown; brother-in-law Jeffrey Eiford of Dayton; special nieces Shannon Newman, Megan Noonan, Christie Cozart and Robin McGrew; nephews Donald Sheley and Bernard Reed; and many special friends. Family and friends will be received on Saturday, April 27, 2024 from 12-2 pm in the Fellowship Hall at Concord Church, 2225 Concord Fairhaven Road, Eaton, OH. A memorial service will follow at 2:00 pm in the Church Sanctuary. Gard Funeral Home & Cremation Services is assisting with arrangements.
