Harold Eugene Coning

CONING, Harold Eugene, age 85, of Miamisburg, OH. died Fri. Feb. 3, 2012.  He was born in New Lebanon, OH. on June 2, 1926 to Karl and Minnie (Fahrenholz) Coning.  He was a graduate of Dixie High School and entered the U.S. Navy during WWII.  He  retired from National Cash Register in Dayton, OH.  He also worked as a custodian for Dixie High School.  He was a member of James E. Ryan Post #322 American Legion in West Alexandria, member of New Lebanon Lions Club and St. Andrew Lutheran Church in Farmersville, OH.  He was preceded in death by his wife, Marilyn Coning in 2006.  He is survived by 2 children, Mark Coning, Boca Raton, FL., Jane (Garry) Moore), New Lebanon, OH., 3 granddaughters, Amy (Ryan) Hegyi, Galloway, OH., Abby (Kyle) Dudley, Beavercreek, OH., Megan Coning, Eugene, OR., 2 great grandchildren, Adeline Hegyi, Gabriel Dudley and a special niece, Diane Coning, Cincinnati, OH.  Also deceased were his parents, brother, Donald Coning and nephew, Bill Coning.  Funeral services will be held 10:30 A.M. Wed. Feb. 8, 2012 at Lindloff-Zimmerman Funeral Home in West Alexandria, OH. with Rev. Larry Lindstom officiating.  Burial will be in Sugar Grove Cemetery, West Alexandria, OH.  Friends may call at the funeral home on Tues. from 6-8PM.  Donations may be made to St. Andrew Lutheran Church in Farmersville, OH. or Hospice of Dayton.
