Howard Dean Flory

Howard Dean Flory, age 79, of West Alexandria, passed away on Friday, May 2, 2025 at his residence. He was born May 8, 1945 in Kansas to the late Henry D. and Ruth Ellen (Long) Flory. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his infant grandson Keith Filbrun; infant great grandchild Angel Filbrun; sister Marilyn Riffey; and sister-in-law Doris Rutrough. He is survived by his wife Vera Ann Flory of West Alexandria; daughters Pamela (Doug) Filbrun of West Alexandria and Paula (Galen) Thomas of Clayton; son Travis (Jill) Flory of Covington; grandchildren Kendra (Jason) Stamy, Kyle (Juliann) Filbrun, Kip (Xara) Filbrun, Kelli (Jeremy) Cable, Kraig Filbrun, Kaid (Kendra) Filbrun, Crystal (Brad) Hoblit, Kaylee (David) Spencer, Emma Flory, Larke (Joshua) Wall and Becca Flory; 20 great grandchildren; sisters Norma (Lauren) Brubaker and Donna (Carroll) Wingert; brother-in-laws Homer Riffey, Kenneth (Virginia) Rutrough and Richard (Darlene) Wade; and numerous nieces and nephews. Visitation will be held on Monday, May 5, 2025 from 2:00 to 5:00 and 6:00 to 8:00 pm at the Morning Star Old German Baptist Brethren Church, New Conference, 2621 US Route 35, West Alexandria, OH 45381. Funeral service for Howard will be at 10:00 am on Tuesday, May 6, 2025 at the church. Burial will follow at Fairview Cemetery in West Alexandria.
