Howard G. Shump

Howard G. Shump, age 95, of New Paris, OH passed away Monday, January 4, 2021 at his residence.  He was born August 31, 1925 in South Webster, OH to the late Otto E. and Clara E. Shump.  Howard was a U.S. Army Veteran who served during WWII.  He was a member of the Eldorado Baptist Church.  He loved his biscuit and gravy with all of his breakfast buddies at church.  In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his wife Marjorie Ruth Shump in 1995; and son Ver-non Lee Shump in 2007. He is survived by his son Galen Shump of New Paris; daughter Sherry Elaine Yount of New Paris; grandchildren: Jeffrey Yount of New Paris, Jason Yount of Eldorado and Tammy Silvers of Eldorado; several great grandchildren; and numerous nieces and nephews.  A private graveside service will be held at Springlawn Cemetery in New Paris.  Girton Schmidt & Boucher Gard Funeral Home, Eaton is assisting with arrangements.  Memorial contributions may be sent to the Eldorado Baptist Church, P.O.
