Jack was like another grandfather for me. We could stay the night at his house, bring us treats after games and get on us when we needed it. Was a great man and will miss him.

Worked with Jack at Moraine Materials, I was young, dumb, and thought I was the best. Jack and I were on a job where we had to back down a steep hill with a wet load of concrete. I went first and lost concrete out the back of the truck every time I used the brakes. Jack set there shaking his head at me! So when it was Jack's turn I stood watching with a smile to see how much concrete he lost. He put the truck in deep reduction and backed down without using the brakes - didn't lose a drop!! He looked up at me and shook his head again! lol, The old man took me to school that day! lol.
