James E. Smith

James E. Smith, age 61, of Eaton, OH, passed away peacefully at his residence on Saturday, August 13, 2022.  He was an amazing husband and father; loved watching football on Sundays with his son; enjoyed fishing and shooting; and was a giving man that loved his family.  He was preceded in death by his parents James and Linda Smith; maternal grandparents Stanley and Mary Judy;  and brother-in-law Brad Quinn.  He is survived by his wife of 40 years Rhonda Smith; son Craig Smith (Mel Daily); siblings Sara (Brad) Quinn, Wes (Jennifer) Smith and Brandee Smith; several nieces and nephews; and mother-in-law Judy Smith.  Per James’s request there will be no services.  Gard Funeral Home & Cremation Services, Eaton is assisting with arrangements.  Online condolences and other remembrances may be sent to the family by visiting www.gardfuneralhome.com
