Janet E. Philpot

Janet E. Philpot, age 67, of Eaton, OH, passed away Saturday, February 12, 2022 at her residence.  She was born February 18, 1954 in Dayton, OH to the late Roy and Dororthy Kiracofe. Janet taught special education at Tri-County North & Richmond Community schools for 39 years. She was part owner of Twisted Sisters in Lewisburg, OH with her best friend Judy. She earned her bachelor's degree from Miami University and masters degree from Indiana Wesleyan University. Janet loved gospel music & even had the chance to sing at the Grand Ole Oprey in Nashville, TN. She traveled all over with the group Saved by Grace in a ministry as well as a teaching and ministry trip to Kenya. She also wrote for several years in the weekly Register Herald for the article Around the ‘Burg. She is survived by her best friend Judy Mayrer of Eaton, OH; daughter Michelle Sayne of Eaton, OH; bonus sons James “JB” Mayrer of Fairborn, OH, David (Melissa) Mayrer of Columbus, OH, Rick (Cathy) Mayrer of Medford, WI, Craig (Heather) Mayrer of Brookville, OH, Kevin (Tonya) Mayrer of Alvarado, TX, and David Sanders and Aimee of Indianapolis, IN; sister Rita Allen of Sturgis, MI; 13 bonus grandchildren; 1 bonus great-grandchild. The family will receive friends on Saturday, February 19, 2022 from 10:00 am until time of memorial service at 11:30 am at Trinity Lutheran Church, 511 N. Commerce Street, Lewisburg, OH with Pastor Elbert Sorrell officiating. Memorial contributions in memory of Janet can be made to St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital 501 St. Jude Place, Memphis, TN 38105 and the Trinity Lutheran Church.
