Janet Eileen Suman

Janet Eileen Suman, age 86, of West Alexandria, passed away on Monday, July 24, 2023 at Vancrest Health Care Center in Eaton.  She was born October 11, 1936 to the late Forest and Agnes (Woltz) Bell.  She was an active lifetime member of the St. Andrew Lutheran Church in Farmersville; was a avid supporter of the West Alexandria Baseball Association; and retired from the Preble County Health Department after many years of employment. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband Ray Suman Jr.; son Rodney Suman; infant daughter Lisa Jane Suman; great granddaughter Brooklynn Pope; and sister Mary Jane Pierce.  She is survived by her daughter Linda (Allan) Myers of Eaton; son Richard Suman of Ansonia; daughter Laura Miller of Brookville; grandchildren, Jason (Jessica) Myers, Chad (Holly) Myers, Ashley (Daniel) Coppage, Jami (Clint) Lloyd, Deanna Suman and Tyler Davis; great grandchildren Logan (Tara) Chapin, Ericson Myers, Reese Myers, Emma Coppage, Kayden Coppage, Marissa Lloyd, Chloe Myers, Bentley Lloyd, Benjamin Cook, Gavin Pope, Arabella Tolle, and Jaxon Coppage; great great grandchildren Weston and Eleanor Chapin; brother James (Pam) Bell of Florida; brother-in-law Bill (Carolyn) Suman; and numerous nieces and nephews.  Visitation will be held on Monday, July 31, 2023 from 5:00 to 8:00 pm at the Gard Funeral Home & Cremation Services (formerly Lindloff-Zimmerman), 67 W. Dayton Street, West Alexandria, OH.  Funeral service for Janet will be held at 11:00 am on Tuesday, August 1, 2023 at St. Andrew Lutheran Church, 282 S.
