Janet Irene Wilson

Janet Irene Wilson, age 78, of Eldorado, OH passed away on Friday, November 28, 2025 at Hospice of Dayton. She was born November 24, 1947 in Hamilton, OH to the late Norman and Edith (Hammer) Thompson.

Janet graduated from Monroe High School class of 1965, where she was a member of the 4-H club and showed horses; she was a true equestrian. She married her devoted husband, Dennis Wilson on March 25, 1967. She graduated from Miami University with a degree in teaching in 1970. She was a 7th and 8th grade science teacher at Arcanum-Butler Public Schools for 5 years and was an active substitute teacher for Tri-County North and National Trail schools for many years. Janet helped start the SAY and high school soccer programs at National Trail. She loved her children and grandchildren deeply and was very proud of their accomplishments: Tristan graduated in 2015 from Indiana University East with a degree in Fine Arts and Brittany graduated in 2013 from IU East with an English degree and works as a special education teacher at Richmond High School.

Janet was preceded in death by her parents, Norman and Edith Thompson. She is survived by her husband, Dennis Wilson; children Tristan (Jessica Larson) Wilson of Centerville, IN and Brittany (David Fox) Wilson of Richmond, IN; grandchildren Makenzie Wilson of Muncie, IN and Ethan Larson of Centerville, IN; and brother David Thompson of New Paris, OH.

A visitation will be held on Wednesday, December 3, 2025 from 10:30 AM to 11:30 AM at the Gard Funeral Home & Cremation Services, 226 W. Main Street, Eaton, OH 45320. Burial will follow at Mound Hill Cemetery in Eaton.
