Jeanetta Faye McKinney

Jeanetta Faye (Newman) McKinney, age 72, of Morning Sun, OH passed away Wednesday, July 4, 2018 at McCullough Hyde/Tri Health Hospital in Oxford, OH. She was born August 16, 1945 in Irvine, KY to the late Everett Newman and Opal (Stevens) Reece. She loved having family and friends around, cooking, crafts, gardening and fishing. She married the love of her life, Herman McKinney, on August 19, 1961 in Irvine, KY. In addition to her parents, she was also preceded in death by her brothers Stanley Newman, Bobby Hoover and Roger Reece; sisters Norma Elliott and Molly Yvonne Harp. She is survived by her brothers Billy Newman and Danny Hoover; husband Herman McKinney of Morning Sun, OH; son Rick (Debbie) McKinney of Eaton, OH; son Randy (Shari) McKinney of Eaton, OH; daughter Dana (Rob) Reece of Tampa, FL; son Terry (Darlene) McKinney of New Paris, OH; 10 grandchildren: Damon (Sammantha Horn) Reece, Bryant McKinney, Rick McKinney, Derek (Ashley Kleuner) McKinney, Cory (Ashlie) McKinney, Michelle McKinney and Emma McKinney; and numerous nieces and nephews. Funeral services will be held at 11:00 am on Monday, July 9, 2018 at the Girton Schmidt & Boucher Gard Funeral Home, 226 West Main Street, Eaton, OH with Debbie McKinney (daughter-in-law) officiating. Burial will follow at Beechwood Cemetery in Morning Sun, OH. Visitation will be held on Sunday, July 8, 2018 from 2:00 to 5:00 pm and one hour prior to services on Monday all at the funeral home. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be sent to the Jeanetta Faye (Newman) McKinney Nursing Scholarship Fund at any Twin Valley Bank location.
