John E. Haberny

John E. Haberny, age 71, of Gratis Township, OH passed away on Friday, May 16, 2025 surrounded by his family. He was born in Madison, WI on May 29, 1953 to the late Edward C. and Mary Ann (Hastings) Haberny. 

John married the love of his life, Delores J. Reynolds on February 16, 1985. He was very hardworking; he worked as a pressman for American Packaging in Middletown until they closed, after which he worked at Grafcor in Indiana until he retired in 2015. He loved watching sports, and the Chicago Bears and Cubs were his favorite teams; he loved the Beatles, enjoying many of their songs with Delores; he loved watching old John Wayne Westerns and MeTV. The joys of his life were his kids and grandkids. 

In addition to his parents, John was preceded in death by brothers Edward, Kevin, and Thomas Haberny; and sister Deloris Haberny. He is survived by his wife of 40 years, Delores J. Haberny; children Tanya Haberny of Eaton, OH, Kim (Craig) Johnson of New Paris, OH, and Michele (Greg) Dickson of West Carrollton, OH; grandchildren John Newton of Gratis Township, OH, Tyler Dickson of West Carrollton, OH, and Kylee Johnston of New Paris, OH.
