Joy Lynne Turner

Joy Lynne Turner, age 73, of Eaton, OH passed away on Saturday, January 24, 2026 at Hospice of Butler & Warren Counties in Middletown, OH. She was born August 1, 1952 in Dayton, OH to the late James Wesley Sr. and Johanna Mae (Karns) Pelling.

Joy was a member of the Eaton Community Church where she enjoyed participating in Bible Study; she enjoyed spending time with family and friends; and had several loyal guide dogs throughout her life.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband Larry Turner; and brother James W. Pelling Jr.

She is survived by her niece Angela Lynn (Tim) Kirkpatrick of Greeley, CO; nephew Joseph (Rhonda) Pelling of Greeley, CO; great niece Rachel Hope Kirkpatrick of Greeley, CO; cousin Daniel Wheeler of Liberty Township, OH and numerous other cousins.

Visitation will be held on Thursday, January 29, 2026 from 12:00 noon until time of funeral service at 1:00 pm at the Gard Funeral Home, 226 W. Main Street, Eaton, OH with Pastor Dan Denlinger officiating. Burial will follow at Sugar Grove Cemetery in West Alexandria, OH.
