Joy Lynne Turner

Joy Lynne Turner, age 73, of Eaton, OH passed away on Saturday, January 24, 2026 at Hospice of Butler & Warren Counties in Middletown, OH. She was born August 1, 1952 in Dayton, OH to the late James Wesley Sr. and Johanna Mae (Karns) Pelling.

Joy was a member of the Eaton Community Church where she enjoyed participating in Bible Study; she enjoyed spending time with family and friends; and had several loyal guide dogs throughout her life.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband Larry Turner; and brother James W. Pelling Jr.

She is survived by her niece Angela Lynn (Tim) Kirkpatrick of Greeley, CO; nephew Joseph (Rhonda) Pelling of Greeley, CO; great niece Rachel Hope Kirkpatrick of Greeley, CO; cousins Ruth Wheeler and her son Daniel Wheeler, both of Liberty Township, OH, Douglas Wheeler of Liberty Township, OH, Roberta Reer of Centerville, OH, Marjorie Jordan and her son William Jordan, both of Eaton, OH, Terry Crauder of Eaton, OH and Sonny Custer of Eaton, OH; and numerous other family members and friends.

Visitation will be held on Thursday, January 29, 2026 from 12:00 noon until time of funeral service at 1:00 pm at the Gard Funeral Home, 226 W. Main Street, Eaton, OH with Pastor Dan Denlinger officiating. Burial will follow at Sugar Grove Cemetery in West Alexandria, OH.
