Joyce was a delightful neighbor. She loved to sit in her family room and share stories about herself (as a little girl) and my mother (who was 10 years older) when they were neighbors. I remember the one story was always shared was how much she wanted to grow up and have so many matching shoes with her clothes!! My mother (Irene Creager Lawson) had just started working and Joyce was so impressed over the shoes! And, Joyce, you did grow up to be that fine dresser you always wanted to be!!

Commodore Preble Chapter, NSDAR sends our condolences to your family. We know that Joyce was not able to attend our meetings in her last years, but it was always wonderful to see her smiling face as she watched and waved to us in the Memorial Day parades. We will miss her. Prayers of comfort for your family.
