Joyce F. Powell

Joyce F. Powell, age 78, of Eaton, OH, passed away Saturday, June 20, 2020 at her residence. She was born April 3, 1942 in Sparta, TN to the late J.B. and Lois Finley.  She volunteered at the Habitat for Humanity Restore in Eaton for several years. In addition to her parents, she was also preceded in death by her husband Charles Jack Powell; and sons Kenneth Powell and Scott Powell.  She is survived by her daughters Ruby Powell of Middletown, OH and Tina Vaughn of Elk City, KS; son Denny Powell of Fresno, CA; numerous grandchildren and great grandchildren; brother Ronnie Finley of Knoxville, TN; sister Debbie Lasley of Knoxville, TN; and three nieces.  Private services at the convenience of the family.  Girton Schmidt & Boucher Gard Funeral Home, Eaton is assisting with arrangements.  Memorial contributions may be sent to Hospice of Dayton, 324 Wilmington Avenue, Dayton, OH 45420.  Online condolences and other remembrances may be sent to the family by visiting www.gsbfuneralhome.com.
