Karen L. Rosfeld, age 80, of Lewisburg, OH passed away on Wednesday, April 22, 2026 at Hospice of Dayton. She was born December 17, 1945 in Richmond, IN to the late Donald Frederick and Esther Elizabeth (Kindley) Goble.
Karen owned and operated her own Daycare Service for many years. She also attended Covenant of Peace Church in Eaton. She was a wonderful mom and dearly loved by her grandchildren. Karen was fun loving and very witty.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her first husband Claude Thomas Sr, second husband Harold Rosfeld; sisters Jane Thomas, Sharon Corwin, Donna Coalter and Pearl Clontz; and brothers Charles Goble and Earl Goble.
She is survived by her children Brian Smith of New Paris, OH, Scott Smith of North Carolina, Command Sgt. Major Michael (Sandra) Smith of North Carolina and Lisa (Vincent) Ebersole of West Manchester, OH; grandchildren Keith, Danielle, Luke, Aubrey, Megan, Morgan, Jacob, Jordan, Lauren, Danielle, Briana and Joseph; great grandchildren Zayden, Kaya, Maya, Knox, Bryson, Marina and baby D; stepchildren Erin (Mark) Weimer of Eaton, OH, Anthony Rosfeld of Eaton, OH, Vincent “Andy” (Julie) Rosfeld of West Alexandria, OH and Nathaniel (Latonya) Rosfeld of Dayton, OH; sister Reba Miller of Richmond, IN; special nephews Claude Thomas Jr and Charles Thomas and many other nieces and nephews.
Visitation will be held on Tuesday, April 28, 2026 from 10:00 am until time of funeral service at 11:30 am at Covenant of Peace Church, 4745 US. Route 127, Eaton, OH with Pastor Ken Harbaum officiating. Burial will follow at Roselawn Cemetery in Lewisburg, OH. Gard Funeral Home, Eaton is assisting with arrangements.
