Keith E. Hargett

Keith E. Hargett, age 74, of Eaton, OH passed away peacefully on Sunday, November 19, 2023.  He was born September 5, 1949 in Winchester, IN to the late Finley C. and Louise R. (Hart) Hargett.  He was a 1967 graduate of Madison High School in Mansfield, OH; was a U.S. Marine Veteran that served during the Vietnam War as a Radio Operator from 1967 to 1971; he worked for 33 years at Visteon (Ford) Plant in Connersville, IN, retiring in 2005; and later worked as a Transportation Driver for Community Action Partnerships in Eaton for eight years.  He loved his friends and spending time at the Preble County YMCA where he was the morning coffee maker and one of the best board members at the “liars table”.  In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by brother Bill Hargett; brother-in-law Gene Silvey; nephew Brent Hargett; and mother-in-law Marilyn Tyler.  He is survived by his wife of 28 years, Deborah Tyler Hargett, whom he wed in Jellico, TN on July 10, 1995; sons Curt (Nikki) Turner and Brad (Angie) Turner; sisters Anita Silvey and Alice (Scott) Selby; grandchildren Jacob (Brandi) Turner, Jonathan (Abby) Turner, Cadence Turner and Justin Turner; and numerous nieces, nephews, and other grandchildren.  Private services will be held at the convenience of the family.  Memorial contributions may be sent to the Preble County YMCA.  Online condolences and other remembrances may be sent to the family by visiting www.gardfuneralhome.com.
