Linda M. Summers

Linda M. Summers, age 77, of Eaton and formerly of West Alexandria passed away on Saturday, May 30, 2026 at the Greenbriar Nursing Center in Eaton. She was born October 25, 1948 in Dayton to the late Herman and Doris (Good) Nutt.

Linda was a 1966 graduate of Eaton High School. She co-owned and operated the Valley Carpet Store in West Alexandria for over 42 years with her husband Dale and son Steve. She enjoyed antiques, going to auctions and most of all spending time with her family that she dearly loved.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband Dale Summers.

She is survived by her son Steve (Cheri) Summers and daughter Debbie (Tony) Berry both of Eaton; grandchildren Kari (Kyle) Romine of Brookville, OH, Steve Summers Jr. (Tasha) of West Alexandria, Eric (Kristina) Berry of Kalamazoo, MI, and Michael (Erin) Berry of Camden, OH; 9 great grandchildren; brothers Melvin (Peggy) Nutt of Englewood, Alvin (Jeanne) Nutt of Eaton and Jeff Nutt of Eaton; sisters-in-law Doris Roth of Centerville, OH and Billie Gebers of Kettering, OH; and several nieces and nephews.

Visitation will be held on Thursday, June 4, 2026 from 10:00 am until time of funeral service at 12:00 pm at the Gard Funeral Home, 226 West Main Street, Eaton, OH with Pastor Bill Schilling officiating. Burial will follow at Fairview Cemetery in West Alexandria, OH. Memorial contributions may be sent to the charity of donor’s choice.
