Lorena Sue Flora

Lorena Sue Flora, age 83 of Eaton, OH, passed away on Friday, April 12, 2024 at Hospice of Dayton. She was born on April 24, 1940, in Ingomar, OH to the late Wilbur Ware and Goldie Marie Campbell.

Sue was a beloved retired cafeteria worker at Twin Valley Schools in West Alexandria. Throughout her life, she dedicated herself to various endeavors, but her role as a Judge of baked goods at the Preble County Fair for over 30 years stood out prominently. She took immense pride in being the 5th generation to assist with the fair. Sue also generously volunteered at the Preble County Pork Festival for many years.  She was also a proud member of Eaton First Church of God.

In addition to her parents, Sue was preceded in death by her husband Charles “Chuck” Flora, her daughter Roxanne Bryant, sister Jean Ward, and brothers Donnie and Dale Campbell.  Surviving family members include her daughter Rhonda (Todd) Baker, son Rodney (Patricia) Flora, son-in-law Randall Bryant, grandchildren Calvin (Amber) Bryant, Cailee (Nik) Bryant, Cody (Kendra) Bryant, Danyel (Jon) Bowman, Taylor (Devin) Smith, Seth Baker, Ryan (Libby) Flora, Alexandra (Brendon) Mahoney and Erin (Ian) Dudek; as well as 17 great-grandchildren. Sue is also survived by her brother Richard (Jean) Campbell, sister Mary Lehmann, and numerous nieces and nephews.

A visitation will be held on Friday, April 19, 2024 from 12:00 Noon until time of funeral service at 2:00 pm at the Eaton First Church of God, 601 East Lexington Road, Eaton, OH.  Burial will follow at Fairview Cemetery in West Alexandria.  Gard Funeral Home, Eaton is assisting with arrangements.

Lorena Sue Flora will be remembered for her kind heart, unwavering dedication to her community, and the love she shared with all those fortunate enough to have known her. Her presence will be deeply missed but her memory will live on in the hearts of those who loved her.
