Marjorie Lou DeGarmo, age 93, of Lewisburg, OH passed away on Sunday, May18, 2025 at Greenbriar Nursing Home in Eaton, OH. She was born November 19, 1931 in Dayton, OH to the late Lawrence William and Gladys Marie Gantt. 

Marjorie was an excellent mother and homemaker. She enjoyed cooking, sewing, painting and making crafts. She worked at Barnets Mill in Camden as a secretary, worked at Henny Penny Corporation in Eaton for many years and later retired from Miami Valley Hospital in the Medical Records Department. She enjoyed attending any church where her son Bill was pastoring at; and she enjoyed traveling and camping with her second husband Robert. 

In addition to her parents, Majorie was preceded in death by her first husband, Richard O. Schilling; her second husband, Robert L. DeGarmo; son David A. Schilling; daughters Brenda S. Caudill and Barbara A. Bourne; granddaughter Angel Schilling; several beloved stepchildren; brothers Lawrence “Sonny”, Robert and Oliver Gantt; sister Juanita Kitchen; and special sister-in-law Kate Gantt. She is survived by sons Pastor William “Bill” (Barbara) Schilling of Lewisburg, OH and Billy J. (Sherry) Schilling of West Manchester, OH; numerous grandchildren and great-grandchildren; sister-in-law Eileen Jackson of Zanesville, OH; special nephew Larry Gantt Jr. of Miamisburg, OH; and numerous other nieces and nephews. 

A memorial service will be held at 1:00 pm on Saturday, June 21, 2025 at the St. John Lutheran Church, 2139 Enterprise Road, West Alexandria, OH 45381. A private interment will be held at Preble Memory Gardens in West Alexandria. Gard Funeral Home & Cremation Services, Eaton is assisting with arrangements.
