Martin Loprete, 90, of Eaton, Ohio, passed away on Tuesday, September 25, 2018. Born in Newark, NJ, Marty was a resident of Freehold, NJ for 60 years before moving to Ohio in 2016. He was predeceased by his wife, Genevieve; his son, Christopher; his brothers John & Louis, and his sister Millie. He is survived by his son and daughter in law, Michael & Joy; son and daughter in law, Jack & Jean; his son, Mark; five grandchildren, Michael, Adam, Alexandra, Jacklyn & Molly; and great grandchildren Brooklyn & Miles. He is also survived by his brother Pete. Marty served 2 years in the Navy before attending Seton Hall University on an Army ROTC scholarship. He served 4 years as a lieutenant in the US Army with the Military Police in the DMZ in Korea. He returned home to become successful salesman, and an executive in the metal & manufacturing industry. Marty was an attentive and loving husband, father, and grandfather. There will be a memorial gathering at Freeman Funeral Home, 47 E. Main St., Freehold on Thursday, October 4 from 4:00 to 7:00 PM. He will be interred at Brigadier General William C. Doyle Veterans Cemetery, Wrightstown, following a ceremony there at 11:30 AM on Friday, October 5.
