Mary Louise Buckmaster, age 84, of Eaton, OH passed away on April 2, 2026. She was born on August 11, 1941 to the late Chet and Martha (Gilbert) Miller, of West Alexandria.
She is survived by her husband KD Buckmaster of Eaton; daughters Sheri (Sean) Fadden of Eaton, Beth Bradford of Morton, Illinois and Anita (Michael Klingbeil) Buckmaster of North Haven, Connecticut; as well as nine grandchildren, four great-grandchildren; and a beloved extended family of siblings, nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her son-in-law Walter Bradford and grandson Bryce Fadden.
After a string of jobs in her youth (NCR, the St. Clair Inn, JCPenney, and Ames), she found a fulfilling late life career as a real estate agent, where at Country Mile Realtors she specialized in helping first-time home buyers. An avid reader, she shared her love of books with her children and grandchildren, creating generations of curious learners. She was a fantastic baker and in the words of one grandchild, “cooker,” and leaves memories of boisterous family meals and lavish holiday feasts. Mary enjoyed gardening and crochet, traveling and meeting new people.
Mary had a great love for God and sought his grace her entire life. Her family finds comfort in the knowledge that her burdens have now vanished, her broken pieces are now whole, and her spirit is soaring in the light.
A private service will be held at the family’s convenience. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Alzheimer’s Association.
