Mary Ellen Thompson

Mary Ellen Thompson, age 70, of West Manchester, OH, passed away on Thursday, August 3, 2023 at her residence.  She was born on April 21, 1953 in Green County, OH to the late Richard and Betty Riggs.  Mary Ellen retired from the Preble County Library.  She had a lifelong passion for reading and all knowledge.  She is survived by her husband of 49 years, David Thompson; sons Ben (Stacey) Thompson and Louis (Courtney) Thompson; grandchildren Hannah Thompson (Brendan Linville), Conner Thompson, Kalissa Thompson and Kade Thompson; great grandson Brantley Linville; brother Barry (Sue) Riggs; sister Becky Raith, Carol (Mike) Harris and Julie (Matthew) Burgess; and several nieces and nephews.  Visitation will be held on Thursday, August 10, 2023 from 6:00 to 8:00 pm at the Gard Funeral Home & Cremation Services, 226 W.
