Mary K. Johnson

Mary K. Johnson, age 80, of Gratis, OH passed away on Monday, February 19, 2024 at her residence surrounded by loved ones.  She was born September 2, 1943 in Gratis to the late John Albert and Mary Jeanette (Miller) Knabe.  Mary was a lifelong resident of Gratis; a 1961 graduate of Gratis High School; was a member of First Brethren Church in Gratis; enjoyed family gatherings, loved cooking and baking for family and friends and was well known especially for her “chicken noodle” suppers at the church.  In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband John Johnson; and brothers Lowell Knabe and David Knabe.  She is survived by her sons Kevin Johnson and Kristopher Johnson; daughter Michele Walker; 8 grandchildren; numerous great grandchildren and step great grandchildren; sister Anita Johnson; and several nieces and nephews.  Visitation will be held on Friday, February 23, 2024 from 1:00 pm until time of funeral service at 2:00 pm at the First Brethren Church, 100 S.
