Nellie S. Fudge

Nellie S. Fudge, age 98, of Eaton, OH passed away on Thursday, June 18, 2026 at the Greenbriar Nursing Center in Eaton. She was born August 26, 1927 in Loretta, KY to the late James and Alma (Sympson) Smith.

Nellie was married to William Fudge for 75 years, marrying on October 9, 1943 until his passing in 2019.

In addition to her parents and husband, she was preceded in death by her son Fred Fudge; son and daughter-in-law Lonnie and Geneva Sue Fudge; sisters Lula Floyd, Etta Brooks, Nora Hardin, Mabel Pence and Ruth Williams; and brothers James Smith, Jack Smith, Jesse Smith, Earl Smith and Reuben Smith.

She is survived by her daughter-in-law Sandie Fudge of Eaton; grandchildren: Wendy (Brad) Bolick of Charlotte, NC, Christina Fudge, Angie (Rick) Donnelly and Andy Fudge all of Eaton; great grandchildren: Alyssa and Caden Bolick, Hailee, Aimee and Tommy Fudge and Tyler and Anna Jennings; special friends Mike and Jeanne Bolinger; and numerous nieces and nephews.

A graveside service will be held at 10:00 am on Tuesday, June 23, 2026 at Mound Hill Cemetery (new section) in Eaton. Gard Funeral Home, Eaton is assisting with arrangements.
