Nellie M. Gossard

Nellie Mae Gossard, age 89, formerly of Lima, Ohio, passed away on Thursday, April 12, 2018 at Reid hospital in Richmond, Indiana. She was born on February 17, 1929 to the late Avery and Marie Gossard. She was a graduate of Lima High School. She was employed at The Metropolitan Bank and retired from Shawnee Schools. She worked as a volunteer at St. Rita’s Medical Center for many years. In her earlier years, she loved vacationing in Florida. She enjoyed reading and family was a very important part of her life. Nellie is survived by her son, Robert (Joyce) Wehner, grandchildren Kelli (David) Singhaus, Aaron (Mindy) Wehner, Emili McCluer, Mathew (Amy) McCluer and Erica (Ryan) Brown, 13 great-grandchildren, 3 great-great grandchildren a sister, Mary McCleary and many nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her daughter, Joyce McCluer, a grandson Jay Wehner, brothers and sisters-in law Gene (Betty) Gossard and Robert (Mary) Gossard, sisters and brothers-in law Helen (Jess) Hunt, Pauline (Max) Greene, Dorothy (Pete) Peters, Betty (Jim) Cusick and brother-in-law Glenn McCleary. A private family ceremony will be held at Fairmount Cemetery in Wapakoneta, Ohio at a later date. Girton Schmidt & Boucher Gard Funeral Home, Eaton is assisting with arrangements.
