Phyllis J. Kingsley, age 75, was born January 28, 1951, in Eaton, Ohio, to Juanita and the late Edward Stevens. She graduated from Eaton High School in 1970. She worked for many years at Dayton Flexible/Baxter and was a beloved school bus driver for Eaton Community Schools before she retired to Jabez, Kentucky in 2000, with her husband, Marshall. They spent much of their time there on Lake Cumberland, where she became an avid fisherwoman. They loved having family and friends visit and stay with them. In 2021, they moved back to Eaton to be closer to their families.
Phyllis had the kindest, most loving heart and was truly a blessing to all who knew her. To know her was to love her. She always said her greatest accomplishments in life were her daughters and grandchildren. Her family meant everything to her. She created memories for them that they will cherish forever.
She was preceded in death by her father, Edward Stevens, brother, Michael Stevens, and sister-in-law, Kimberly Stevens.
Phyllis passed away peacefully on Monday, July 6, 2026, surrounded by her loving family, including her husband of 27 years, Marshall Kingsley; daughters, Gina (Aaron) Melling and Nikki (Steve) Perrin; grandchildren, Brandon Melling, Blake Melling, Dalton Hickman, and Jadyn Hickman; brothers David Stevens, Danny (Kathy) Stevens, and Anthony Stevens; and sister, Lisa (Steve) Sarver.
She is also survived by her mother, Juanita Stevens; her stepchildren, Marsha (Tom) Rhoades and Steven (Andi) Kingsley; numerous step-grandchildren and step-great-grandchildren; sisters Carrie Stevens and Sherrie (Greg) Howard; and many nieces and nephews who adored her.
Visitation will be held on Monday, July 20, 2026 from 10:00 am until the time of the memorial service at 12:00 pm at the Gard Funeral Home & Cremation Services, 226 West Main Street, Eaton, Ohio with Pastor Rodney Dunn officiating.
