Randall A. "Randy" Smith

Randall A. “Randy” Smith, age 65, of West Alexandria, OH passed away on Tuesday, February 3, 2026 at his residence. He was born October 22, 1960 in Dayton, OH to the late Bobby Smith and Irene Gamble Smith.

Randy was a third-generation water well driller. He loved working on and driving big block cars; riding his motorcycles; competing in slot car racing; he enjoyed attending races at the Eldora Speedway; and was an avid fisherman. Randy was also a seven-year cancer survivor.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by brothers Terry J. Smith and Daniel Lee Smith.

He is survived by the love of his life for over 30 years, Lora Burton of West Alexandria; daughter Ashton Irene Smith of West Alexandria; grandchildren Eli and Jakobi Vorhes both of West Alexandria, Haydin Allen Ross Burton of West Alexandria and numerous other grandchildren; sister Donna Katherine George of Eaton; brothers James Robert Smith of Eaton, Dale Matthew Smith of Gratis and Steven Eugene Smith of Eaton; and numerous nieces and nephews and great nieces and nephews.

Visitation will be held on Monday, February 9, 2026 from 11:00 am until time of funeral services at 1:00 pm at Gard Funeral Home, 226 West Main Street, Eaton, OH with Pastor David Spears officiating.
