Ray E. Loper

Ray E. Loper, age 60, of West Manchester, OH passed away on Friday, October 23, 2026 at his home. He was born May 31, 1966 to the late Roger and Jewel (Goff) Loper.

Ray was very proud of his career; he worked for Parker-Hannifin in the chemical engineering department for over 20 years until his retirement. He thoroughly enjoyed derbying in Preble County and the surrounding areas with a team made up of his friends. When his son was growing up, he enjoyed getting closer to him through skateboarding, BMX, and coaching his baseball team. Becoming a papaw and seeing his grandchildren grow was one of his greatest joys in life.

He is survived by his children Kristyn (Tommy) Wallace of New Madison, OH and Dalton (Paige) Loper of Greenville, OH; grandchildren Kallie, Pixie, Nash, Navy, Suede and Denim; and his spouse Dawn Loper.

A Celebration of Life will be held at a later date for the family. Gard Funeral Home & Cremation Services, Eaton is assisting the family with arrangements.
