Dick was born on December 7, 1930 in New Bedford, MA to Rev. Joseph Wilson Reeves and Louise Muzzy Reeves (both deceased). He spent his formative years in Massachusetts graduating from Mount Hermon School for Boys 1948. He attended the University of Kentucky and then transferred to and graduated from the University of Massachusetts. They retired to Yarmouth, MA in 1992 and then moved to Mason, OH to be close to family in 2001.  Dick was an avid golfer, loving husband, proud and engaged father and grandfather. He was well known for being a consummate gentleman and faithful fan of the Boston Red Sox, New England Patriots, and UConn men’s and women’s basketball, though he also loved his local Reds, Bengals, and University of Cincinnati teams. The son of a pastor, Dick was always active in his South Windsor church and town management committees.  He continued to serve on his local HOAs and golf leagues always demonstrating loving reliability and grace in every connection and activity.

Dick met his wife, Roberta (Bobbie) Wakeman at UMASS. They were married in 1951 and, together, raised three children in South Windsor, Ct: Richard B Reeves (Cathy Campbell) of San Antonio, FL and Springfield, OH, Robert Davis Reeves (Joanne) of Leland, NC, and Robyn Reeves Lana (Timothy) of Eaton, OH.  He is the proud grandfather of seven - the children of Rick Reeves; Michael Reeves (Becky) and Kristina Phair (Nick), the children of Rob Reeves; Courtney Muccio (Mike) and Victoria Reeves, and the children of Robyn Lana; Caitlyn McGlynn (Mike), Samuel Lana, and Hollyn Orr (Caleb). Dick took great pride in his four great-grandchildren: Mollie Reeves, Sidney and Asher Phair, and Francis Robert Muccio.
